Located in Georgia, Adel is a city with a population of around 5,354 as of the year 2020. It is situated on Interstate 75, about 30 miles north of Valdosta. It is also approximately 52 miles southeast of Albany. The population in Adel has increased by 0.86% over the last year.

 

Adel is home to the South Georgia Motorsports Park, one of the most popular attractions in the area. It has a half-mile oval track, a drag strip, and a quarter-mile dragstrip. Adel has many parks, most of which are open all day. Jim Battle Park features a basketball court and a children's playground. The park also has public restrooms and baseball and tennis courts. Bear Creek Park features a baseball field and four tennis courts.

 

The Adel Daylily Festival is one of the most popular events in the area. It is held the third weekend in May each year in downtown Adel. This event features live music and artisan crafts from all over South Georgia. It is hosted by the Adel-Cook County Chamber of Commerce.

 

The city of Adel is also home to the Jim Paulk-SOWEGA Building, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The building was constructed in 1930 and was home to the Southwest Georgia Watermelon Growers Association.
