Located at 3766 Old Clyattville Rd, Valdosta, GA 31601. On the border between Georgia and Florida, Wild Adventures is a zoological theme park. Founded in 1996 by Kent Buescher, it opened as a small petting zoo. Soon, it grew into a full-fledged theme park. Today, Wild Adventures is a popular attraction with families and friends. This 170-acre theme park features rides and shows, as well as hundreds of animals and exotic plants. It is part of a family entertainment complex owned by Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation. The park also features a FlowRider, a giant raft ride. In addition, the park is home to many old-school arcade games. There are also some hands-on Gator games to try.
Besides the animal exhibits and roller coasters, the park also offers live music, concerts and shows. The park hosts events throughout the year, including seasonal Fall festivals and Halloween celebrations. In addition, guests can take in the spectacular fireworks every Friday in July. Another new attraction is the Wanyama Observation Deck and Botanical Garden. This new addition is the largest animal habitat in the park in over a decade.
