Valdosta has a humid, subtropical climate. Although it can get very hot, the winters are fairly mild. However, in the summer, the temperatures can reach 100 degF. Valdosta also experiences very light frosts. In fact, there are rarely any significant snowfalls since 1989. In winter, the city has only a few days with temperatures below 25 degF.
